Project Overview:
FanDuel’s latest campaign rolled out a series of high-energy commercials and social content celebrating the thrill of the game. The campaign consisted of roughly 4–6 hero spots that were adapted into multiple deliverables for broadcast, digital, and social media. I collaborated with a team of 5–10 designers and animators to craft visuals that carried the same dynamic energy across every format.
The campaign is currently live across national TV broadcasts, especially during major sporting events, as well as social platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit.
Objective:
Our goal was to capture FanDuel’s fast-paced, competitive spirit in a way that would connect with both casual viewers and dedicated sports fans. The creative direction focused on high-impact visuals, bold typography, and kinetic animation that reflected the excitement of live gameplay and instant wins. Each deliverable needed to feel cohesive but also tailored to the specific audience and aspect ratio of its platform.
Challenges:
The biggest challenge was maintaining consistency and visual energy across so many output formats; broadcast, Instagram reels, YouTube pre-rolls, and Reddit ads, each with different runtimes and compositions. Tight turnarounds and constant iteration meant our workflow had to be efficient and flexible. We relied heavily on clear communication and motion style guides to ensure the brand language stayed strong and recognizable in every cut.
Design Process:
The team began by developing a unified motion language that could flex across broadcast and social placements while staying unmistakably FanDuel. We built a toolkit of modular assets; logo animations, transitions, and kinetic type systems; that allowed for quick adaptation across dozens of deliverables.
I collaborated closely with other designers and animators on look development, timing, and composition, ensuring each spot maintained a consistent rhythm and visual tone. Frequent client reviews and rapid feedback loops helped us fine-tune pacing and typography to match the energy of live sports while keeping the brand instantly recognizable.
Outcome:
The final campaign delivered a cohesive set of commercials and social cut-downs that captured FanDuel’s bold, adrenaline-driven spirit. Each piece carried the same visual language; crisp motion, confident type, and punchy transitions; scaled for multiple formats.
The work launched nationally across broadcast TV, streaming platforms, and social channels, with significant visibility during major sporting events. Seeing the campaign appear across Instagram, Reddit, and live sports coverage reinforced its reach and impact.
