Project Overview:
Control Bionics introduced the Neurostrip, a cutting-edge wearable sensor designed to read bioelectric signals and spatial movement—offering new levels of insight into muscle activation and intent. It’s a glimpse into the future of human-machine interface. For the launch, they needed premium 3D visuals to elevate the perception of this next-gen tech.
Objective:
Create standalone 3D “eye candy” shots to be used across the product’s website, launch video, and additional marketing materials—bringing elegance, clarity, and intrigue to a device that’s both technical and wearable.
Challenges:
Elevate the Visual Standard – The product needed visuals that felt polished, futuristic, and innovative—especially in contrast to more traditional-looking parts of the campaign.
Solo Execution, Full Ownership – As the sole creative, I was responsible for everything from lighting and animation to shading and rendering.
Show Tech Without Over-Explaining – The visuals had to hint at the complex tech inside the Neurostrip while keeping it clean and minimal.
Design Process:
Sandpile Studio focused entirely on the 3D elements of the campaign—creating refined product shots, camera moves, and lighting that made the Neurostrip feel sleek and intuitive. I pushed for clean surfaces, subtle lighting gradients, and elegant transitions that could sit comfortably in both product pages and marketing videos. While the launch video incorporated various production elements, the 3D segments stand apart as the visual anchor for the campaign.
Outcome:
The 3D shots were featured on Control Bionics’ product page and official YouTube launch video. While other parts of the campaign varied in quality, the 3D work provided a high-end visual baseline for the product and helped elevate the brand perception at launch.
